Dennis J. Wojtalewicz's Obituary
Dennis J. Wojtalewicz age 73 of Amherst, passed away peacefully on October 28th, 2022. He was born on June 11th, 1949 in Stevens Point, WI, son of the late Alois and Laura (Firkus) Wojtalewicz. On May 29, 1971, he married Bernice Konkol at St. Mary of Mt. Carmel Catholic Church-Fancher in Amherst, WI.
He attended PJ Jacobs in Stevens Point and went on to become a journeyman electrician. Dennis worked for the Local Union 388 for over 40 years.
Dennis was an avid collector of many things. His appetite for knowledge was never ending, always exploring new topics, often leading to many projects around the house and ultimately new tools or toys. Most days, you could find Dennis outside working on his tractor or cutting wood. He also enjoyed playing pool and wood carving with his buddies at the Waupaca Community Center. Above all else, he enjoyed watching his grandkids play sports, rarely missing a game. Dennis loved to be around people, often teasing his friends and family in a good-natured way.
He is survived by his wife Bernice Wojtalewicz; his three children Kim (Jon) Czech, Denise (Jesse) Turk, and Jason “OJ” (Beth) Wojtalewicz; grandchildren Mason, Haydn, Sydney, Marley, Levi, Balin, Cade and Eva; brother Richard Wojtalewicz; sisters Barbara Warzinik, Mary (James) Lang, and Bonnie (Mike) Krutzka.
In addition to his parents, Dennis was preceded in death by his granddaughter Emma Wojtalewicz.
Per Dennis’s wishes, his family will have a private service.
