Dolores Ray's Obituary
Dolores J. Ray, age 86, of Iola, WI., passed away on Saturday, July 24th, 2010 at Bethany Home in Waupaca, WI. She was born in the Town of Harrison, Waupaca Co., WI. on March 6, 1924, a daughter of the late George and Maude (Moore) Severson. She married Aubrey C. Ray St. on April 1, 1942 in Richland Center, WI. He preceded her in death on July 3, 2006. Dolores and Aubrey lived in the Iola area since 1957. They owned and operated the Iola Cafe from 1960-1964 and they also operated a Carnival business. Survivors include a Daughter: Alma J. Fitzpatrick, Fond du Lac, WI; Son: Aubrey C. Ray Jr., Iola, WI; Grandchildren: Flonnie (David) Pliska, Waupaca, WI; Connie (Eugene) Brown, Michigan; Jason (Kelly) Ray, North Carolina; Betty (Mike) Ray-Dukat, Milwaukee, WI; Great Grandchildren: Brenda, Sandra (Corey), Jessica, Amanda, Missy (Nate), Matthew, Eugene, Cole and Jared; Great Great Granchildren: Aubrey, Melissa, Ella, Xeke and Aris; 2 Sisters: Edna Speers, Waupaca, WI. and Effie Krueger, Waupaca, WI. Dolores was preceded in death by 2 Brothers: Carl & James Severson and by 3 Sisters: Ella Hall, Emma Buch and Florence Rendall. Funeral Services will be held at the Holly Funeral Home in Waupaca at 10:00 AM on Thursday, July 29th, 2010, with the Reverend Wally Zastrow, officiating. Interment will be at Scandinavia Lutheran Cemetery, Town of Scandinavia, Waupaca Co., WI. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, from 4 - 8 PM at the Holly Funeral Home in Waupaca and on Thursday, from 9 AM until the time of the service at the funeral home.
