Donald C. Hoefs' Obituary
Donald C. Hoefs, age 79, passed away on February 23, 2017 at Wisconsin Veteran’s Home, in King, Wisconsin. He was born on March 18, 1937 in the Town of McMillan, to the late Edward and Elenor (Schultz) Hoefs.
Donald served in the Army Reserves and the National Guards before joining the Navy. He was discharged in September 1959.
He married Darlene Ruth Schade on May 14, 1960.
His is survived by his wife, his children: Mark Hoefs, Madison, Wisconsin. Dawn (Tracy) Hoeye, Marshfield, Wisconsin. Lorie (Antonie) Saad, Phoenix, Arizona. Linda Viets, Thorp, Wisconsin. Jane Kappel, Stratford, Wisconsin. Brian Hoefs, Spencer, Wisconsin.
He is also survived by his grandchildren, great grandchildren, 2 sisters, numerous nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by a son, Dean Hoefs, a granddaughter, Kelsey Viets, his parents and 5 siblings.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been set up at the Veterans Home in King. Donations will go to McArthur Hall where Donald lived for the last 3 ½ years. Donations can be sent to:For Donald Hoefs
