Donald Hoffman's Obituary
Donald C. Hoffman, age 72, of Amherst, Wisconsin, passed away Monday, November 20th, 2006 at Appleton Medical Center. Mr. Hoffman was born in Stetsonville, Wisconsin on September 24, 1934. He was the son of the late Carl and Emma (Perlick)Hoffman. Don married Jean Gullickson August 17, 1957. She preceded him in death in September 1982. On June 8, 1985, he married Edith (Shaw) Burdett-Hoffman. Don graduated from UW- Stout with degrees in Engineering and Education. He was a Professional Engineer and he and partners established WEBEX in Neenah in 1970. Don retired in 1988 and started his woodworking shop in Amherst. He enjoyed hunting, fishing watching football and spending time with his family and friends. Don was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Amherst. He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. Don is survived by Wife: Edith Burdett-Hoffman, Amherst; Daughter: Christine (Mark) Harr, Almond; Son: Troy D. Hoffman, Amherst; Step-Children: Kathleen (Eric) Benson, Naperville, IL; Mary (John) Kuliavas, Lisle, IL; Paul (Kim) Burdett, Lisle, IL; Step-Grandchildren: Bradley Benson; Lina Kuliavas; Ginny Burdett; Nick Burdett; Tomas Kuliavas; Sister: Darlene Engbretson, Waupaca. Preceded in death by sister: Marie Jahnke. He is also survived by other relatives, friends and his Black lab Pete. Funeral Service will be held at St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Amherst at 11:00 A.M. on Saturday, November 25th, with Reverend Chris Schwanz officiating. Interment will be in the Greenwood Cemetery Amherst, Wisconsin. Visitation will be held Friday 4-8 P.M. at Jungers-Holly Funeral Home-Amherst and Saturday 10-11 A.M. at St. Paul's Lutheran Church.
