Donald Jensen's Obituary
Donald E. Jensen, age 91, of Waupaca, WI, passed away Sunday, May 21st, 2006 at Bethany Home in Waupaca. He was born in Waupaca on December 27, 1914, the son of Vego and Alvina (Gabrielson) Jensen. Don married Madge Henry on April 12, 1942 in Waupaca. She preceded him in death on January 22, 1999. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II. Don was active in the Boy Scouts where he served as Scout Master for several years. In recognition for his commitment, he was awarded the Silver Beaver Award. He was also an avid model railroader. He is survived by Son: Todd Jensen, Madison, WI; Daughter-in-law: Kathy Jensen, Waupun, WI; Granddaughters: Sally Jensen, Gainesville, FL; Kate Jensen, Janesville, WI. Donald is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Madge; two brothers, Kenneth and Perry; two sisters, Lorraine and Verna. A Memorial Service will be held at 1 PM on Thursday, May 25, 2006 at the Bethany Nursing Home Chapel in Waupaca with the Reverend Barry Shaw officiating. Interment of cremains will be in the Lakeside Memorial Park in Waupaca. A Memorial Visitation will be held on Thursday at the Bethany Home Chapel from 12 Noon until the time of the service.
