Donald R. Johnson's Obituary
Donald R. Johnson, age 67, of Glen Flora, WI passed away peacefully on Saturday, May 28th, 2022. He was born in Waupaca, WI on September 27, 1954, a son of the late Theodore and Alta (Hanke) Johnson.
He served in the U.S. Marines and U.S. Army. Donald married Judith Hicks on February 14, 1976 in Auburn, NY. He received his BS degree from the University of Wisconsin Oshkosh in 1980 and was commissioned as an officer by way of the Army ROTC program at UWO. He retired as an instructor from ROEHL Transport in 2021. In his free time, he enjoyed shooting, hunting, fishing, and spending countless hours in the garage repairing & restoring cars/trucks. He had a gentle strength, a servant heart, and a contagious laugh; he will be greatly missed by those who truly knew and loved him.
Survivors include his Wife: Judith Johnson, Glen Flora, WI; Children: Travis (BJ) Johnson, Dunellen, NJ; Kimberly (Rocky) Myers, Castle Rock, CO; Andrea Johnson, Otego, NY; Grandchildren: Cole Johnson; Mackenzie Johnson; Gavin Myers; Haley Myers; Sisters: Donna (Steve) Lumsden, Cedar Park, TX; Joan West, Appleton, WI; Kay Goetsch, Florissant, MO. He is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, an infant son, and four brothers - Ronald, Theodore, Leroy and Warren.
The Funeral Service will be held at Holly Funeral Home in Waupaca at 11AM on Saturday, June 11th, 2022, with Chaplain Rich Engle, officiating. Interment will be at Lind Center Cemetery, Town Lind, Waupaca Co., WI. Visitation will be held on Saturday, from 9 AM until the time of the service at the funeral home.
