DONALD R. LOCKERY
KING, WI (Formerly of Appleton, WI) Age 80 - died on Sunday, October 15, 2006 at the Wisconsin Veterans Home in King, WI. He was born on July 10, 1926 in the Township of Cicero, Outagamie County, WI, a son of the late Ralph and Henrietta (Reinke) Lockery. He married Virginia Bishop on September 15, 1951 in Appleton, WI. Donald is survived by his wife: Virginia, two daughters: Barbara (William) Hernandez of Fremont, WI, and Beth (Tom) Abby of Burnsville, MN, a son: Brian (Therese) Lockery of Plover, WI, a grandson: Craig (Amber) Hernandez of Appleton, WI, two granddaughters: Lauren Addy and Morgan Addy of Burnsville, MN, and a sister-in-law: Margaret Lockery of Neenah, WI. He is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends. He was preceded in death by a son: Daniel Lockery, a grandson: Christopher Hernandez, his parents, three brothers, and three sisters. Donald served in the U.S. Navy during WW II, serving in the Aleutian Islands. He had been employed with the City of Appleton for many years, working both in the School System and with the Street Dept. He retired in 1978. He enjoyed hunting and fishing. A funeral service will be held at the Wisconsin Veterans Home – Main Chapel at King, WI, on Thursday, October 19, 2006 at 1:30 PM, with Sister Catherine Wottreng – Catholic Chaplain, officiating. Interment of cremains will be in the Highland Memorial Park Cemetery in Appleton, WI at a later date. Friends may call at the Main Chapel at King on Thursday from 12:30 – 1:30 PM. The Holly Funeral Home of Waupaca, WI is assisting the family with arrangements.
