Donald N. (Bones) Olson's Obituary
Donald N. (Bones) Olson, age 80, of Weyauwega, WI passed away on Thursday, August 25, 2011 at Manawa Community Nursing Center. Donald was born in the Town of Dayton, Waupaca County on February 2, 1931, the son of the late Clarence and Nora (Johnson) Olson. On June 25, 1960 Bones married Ellen Harris in Waupaca and she preceded him in death on September 6, 1997. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, and camping. He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. Bones is survived by his sons: Jeffrey Olson, Manawa; Steven (Sherri) Olson, Weyauwega; Gary Olson, Harrisville, Utah; Grandsons: Justin, Gavin and Cayden Olson, Harrisville, Utah; his brothers: Harold (Kathy) Olson, Wisconsin Rapids and Lawrence (Darlene) Olson, Omro. Donald was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Ellen, two brothers and one sister. The Funeral Service will be on Monday, August 29 at 11 AM at Holly Funeral Home in Waupaca with Pastor Jeffrey Fletcher, officiating. Military Graveside Services will follow in Lakeside Memorial Park, Waupaca. Visitation will be on Sunday evening from 4 to 7 PM at the funeral home.
