Dorothy E. Gable's Obituary
Dorothy E. Gable, age 102, of Redgranite, WI passed away on Wednesday, May 22, 2013 at Preston Place in Redgranite. Dorothy was born in the Town of Warren, Waushara County on January 6, 1911, the daughter of the late Calvin and Lola (Warner) Wilson. On December 7, 1925, Dorothy married Robert Gable in St. Louis, MO and he preceded her in death on December 14, 1976. Dorothy was a very hard worker, working on the family farm and also at the Redgranite Pickle Factory for many years. She enjoyed ceramics and crocheting. She loved music, especially playing the piano and guitar. Dorothy is survived by her sons; Larry (Carol) Gable, Berlin; Jerry Gable, West Bend; nineteen grandchildren: fifty great grandchildren and numerous great-great grandchildren. Also surviving is her sister: Hazel Kalata and her brothers: John Wilson & Ron Wilson. Dorothy is also survived by many nieces & nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, sons, Alec & Donald, her daughter, Eunice, three grandchildren, 1 great grandchild, six sisters and two brothers. The Funeral Service will be on Saturday, May 25 at 1 PM at the Holly Funeral Home in Wild Rose with Reverend Gregory Sluke, officiating. Burial will follow in the Pine Grove Cemetery, Town of Aurora, Waushara County. Visitation will be on Saturday morning from 11 AM to 1 PM at the funeral home.
