Dorothy G. Siegel's Obituary
Dorothy G. Siegel, age 90, of Waupaca, WI, passed away Saturday, January 9, 2010 surrounded by her family at her residence under the care of Theda Care Home Hospice. Dorothy was born in the Town of Ottawa, Waukesha County, WI on September 13, 1919, the daughter of the late Harry and Laura (Johnson) Grant. On September 28, 1940, Dorothy married Elmer F. Siegel, Sr. in Parfreyville and he preceded her in death on December 31, 1999. She is a member of Parfreyville United Methodist Church and loved gardening, embroidering and spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Dorothy is survived by her children: Beverly Saferite, Waupaca, WI; Glenn (Loyce) Siegel, Racine, WI and Butch Siegel, Waupaca, WI; her seven grandchildren, fifteen great grandchildren and one great-great grandchild. Dorothy was also preceded in death by her son-in-law, Wesley Saferite, Sr. a granddaughter, Jina Dyer, 2 infant great grandchildren and a sister, Esther. Funeral Service will be on Saturday, Jan. 16, 2010 at 4 PM at Holly Funeral Home in Waupaca with Brenda Hewitt, officiating. Burial will be later in the spring at Elmwood Cemetery in the Town of Belmont, Portage County. Visitation will be on Saturday from 2 to 4 PM at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorials are appreciated to Theda Care at Home Hospice.
