Age 97 – died on Saturday, August 31, 2013 at Crystal River Nursing Home in Waupaca. She was born on July 9, 1916 in Milwaukee, the daughter of Paul and Marie (Cybulski) Stachowiak. She married Erwin R. Pugens on January 25, 1947 in Milwaukee. He preceded her in death on Nov. 3, 1994.
Dorothy is survived by her son; Daniel Pugens of Waupaca, and her daughter; Connie Pugens. She is also survived by three grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband and her parents.
A prayer service will be held at the Holly Funeral Home in Waupaca on Thursday, Sept. 5, 2013 at 2:00 PM, with Father Paul Vanden Hogen, officiating. A visitation will be held at the funeral home on Thursday from Noon – 2:00 pm. A visitation will also be held on Friday, Sept. 6, 2013 from 1:00 - 2:00 PM at the St. Adalbert Cemetery Chapel in Milwaukee, WI. Entombment will be in the St. Adalbert Cemetery in Milwaukee, WI. The Holly Funeral Home of Waupaca, WI is assisting the family with arrangements.
