Dorothy Vanderford's Obituary
DOROTHY B. VANDERFORD
REDGRANITE, WISCONSIN Age 97, passed away on Thursday, March 18, 2010 at the Brown-Wilcox Home under hospice care in Berlin, WI. She was born March 6, 1913 in Chicago, IL; daughter of Fritz Fredrick Wilhelm and Mattie Belle (Haight) Speckmann. On January 29, 1938, Dorothy married Austin “Ausy” Vanderford in Elgin, IL. He preceded her in death on June 29, 1988. One of Dorothy’s passions was reading. She also loved socializing with others and going out to eat with her daughter-in-law, Carol. She was a member of the Poy Sippi United Methodist Church in Poy Sippi, WI. Dorothy will be deeply missed by all of her family and friends. Dorothy is survived by:

Daughters: Connie (Edward) Poole of Murphy, NC
JoAnne (Ron) McCulla of Mesa, AZ
Loving Daughter-in-law: Carol Vanderford of Redgranite, WI

Brother: Jack (Eunice) Speckmann of Flushing, MI
She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and other relatives. Dorothy was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Austin “Ausy” Vanderford; an infant son, Dale Vanderford; her son, Russell Vanderford; two brothers; and one sister. A Graveside Service will be held at a later date at the Poy Sippi Cemetery in Poy Sippi, WI. Reverend George Groves will officiate at the cemetery.
