Douglas J. Belt's Obituary
Douglas (Doug) Belt, 77 of Almond, died on Thursday morning, December 25th, 2025 at his home. He was born on March 15th, 1948 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, to the late Joseph and Madeline (Finster) Belt.
Doug joined the U. S. Marine Corps in 1968 and served honorably in the Vietnam War from 1968 to 1970.
On July 27th, 1980 in Stevens Point, Wisconsin, Doug married Kathy Ferrick. Together, Doug and Kathy lived at their home in Almond, Wisconsin.
Doug is survived by his loving wife, Kathy; son, Joseph (Shasta) Belt; daughter, Amanda (Joseph) Grant; and two grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Madeline (Orley) Laufenberg, Coreene Belt, Asenath Bigornia, Vivian Yarmark, and Sylett Lynch; and brother Joseph Belt Jr.
A gravesite memorial and interment will be held at 11:00 AM on Monday, July 27th at the Guardian Angel Cemetery in Almond, Wisconsin. Full military honors will follow.
