DOUGLAS E. BUCHHOLTZ
WAUPACA, WISCONSIN Age 52, passed away at his home on Monday, March 15, 2010. He was born on March 23, 1957 in Weyauwega, WI; son of Daniel and Lila (Grosklaus) Buchholtz. He was the oldest of six children. On June 18, 1977, Doug married Cheryl Nigbor at St. Peter Evangelical Lutheran Church in Weyauwega, WI. They made their home in Waupaca where Doug was a heavy equipment operator and truck driver for Faulks Bros. Construction, until his retirement in 2004. Doug was a funny guy who enjoyed a good laugh over coffee with friends and family. He enjoyed the outdoors, especially fishing and gardening. He was very proud of his garden which yielded some of the best tomatoes, and no weeds. He also enjoyed cooking, and a good fish fry! He will be missed greatly by his family and everyone who knew him. Brothers and Sisters-in-law: Mike (Dawn) Nigbor of Waupaca, WI
Marc (Katherine) Nigbor of Kimberly, WI
Carey (Daniel) Zimmerman of Ripon, WI
Also survived by many nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends. He was preceded in death by his father, Daniel Buchholtz and his father-in-law, Robert Nigbor. A Visitation for Doug will be held on Friday, March 19, 2010 from 4:00 – 7:00 PM at the Holly Funeral Home in Waupaca, WI. A Private Family Service will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers donations can be made in his name to the National Kidney Foundation or St. Peter Evangelical Lutheran School in Weyauwega.
