Douglas "Humpy" King's Obituary
Douglas J. (Humpy) King, age 61, of Almond, WI passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, July 6, 2014 at Wild Rose Community Memorial Hospital. Doug was born in Almond on August 15, 1952, the son of the late Donald and Dorothy (Lemke) King.
He is survived by his loving companion: Nancy Shambaugh, Almond; his brothers: Dennis (Margaret) King, Amherst and Dave (Cheryl) King, Almond; Nancy's children: Lori Shambaugh, Bancroft; Jena (John) Shambaugh-McKinley, Rosemont, MN and Tyler Cumberland, Beloit, WI. Also surviving are grandchildren, a great grandson, nieces and a nephew. He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Donn.
The Funeral Service will be on Friday, July 11 at 11 AM at New Life Assembly of God Church in Plainfield with Pastor Howard Kruize, officiating. Burial will follow in the Almond Village Cemetery. Visitation will be on Thursday evening from 4 to 7 PM at the church and also on Friday morning from 10 AM until the time of services. Hardell-Holly Funeral home in Almond is assisting the family with arrangements.
