You have our heartfelt Sympathy, love and care. Helen was an amazing woman. She will live on forever in our hearts, minds and memories. We both were featured on the front page of the journal with our Cancer battles. We both exchanged cards over our battles. For me I feel when we pass is the only time sadly we'll be painfree.I too loved the life of being on a lake. Its when you truly could feel nature and forget your pain. For the first time in my life. Our Daughter took us to do the chain of lakes cruise. It was the first time in I felt peaceful. I hope her lake time did what that one day did for me! It was like going home when I lived by a lake. She touched so many lives. But she touched so many heart. She'll live on in memories and in all of the kindness and things you achieved! A woman well above and before her time! A real trailblazer. I'm pleased to have known her. Even if it was sharing our Cancer battles. Heaven will be so much brighter there with her at peace by the most glorious lakes and gardens,. RIP dear sweet, Helen. I'll catch up with you some day..
My family first met Helen when she came to Camp Manito-wish. We have been big fans of her for many, many years. Her warm smile and fun-loving nature will be the things we will remember most about her
Helen was an inspiration to everyone she met. She was so full of energy and enthusiasm that she made you feel like anything was possible when she was involved with you. She was a tremendous friend, mentor, and colleague. She will be missed greatly by everyone who was fortunate enough to have had a connection with her. I will personally miss her inspiring passion for life.
Helen has the luxury of looking back at her life and knowing she impacted 1000's and it not being an exaggeration! I won't be able to make the visitation or service because of a work commitment. When Helen was interim executive director of the UWSP Foundation, I followed her. She had calmed a stormy sea and had things at a great place when I took over. My favorite memory was when she delivered a plate of cookies to my family when we first moved to Stevens Point for the job in 2004. It was
