DR. HOLLY A. POHL
CHICAGO, ILLINOIS She passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, August 21, 2012 at her home in Chicago, IL. She was born November 13, 1960 in Milwaukee, WI; daughter of Donald Pohl and Linda (Beier) Pohl. Survivors:
Father: Donald (Marion) Pohl of Almond, WI
Mother: Linda Pohl of Brookfield, WI
Brother: Randy Pohl of East Troy, WI
Maternal Grandmother: Crystal Beier of Waupaca, WI
Aunt: Betty (Mel) Vowels
Cousins: Heidi (Scott) Pethan
Kelly (Mike) Gustafson Holly will be missed deeply by Robin and Scott, and all the friends and colleagues she leaves behind in Chicago, friends Dave and Beth Kihm of Mead, CO, Connie Rutherford of Williamson, GA. Holly grew up in Brookfield, WI and was a graduate of Brookfield Central High School (79). She earned an undergraduate degree from UW Madison School of Agriculture (84), master’s degree in Animal Science from University of Minnesota, and a Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine from UW Madison School of Veterinary Medicine (94). After receiving a master’s degree she worked in research at UW Madison. She practiced as a veterinarian at the Connecticut Veterinary Center, West Hartford, CT, and was currently at the Cat Hospital of Chicago since the hospital opened in December 1998. A Private Family Visitation was held at the Holly Funeral Home in Waupaca, WI. Final resting place is Almond Village Cemetery in Almond, WI near beloved Grandparents Harland Beier and the Arden Pohls. A memorial gathering will be held by friends and colleagues in Chicago at a later date.
