Great Uncle Duane,
You will be truely missed..... Will miss the chats we had at family gatherings 😔
Rest in peace.... Til we meet again
I am truly saddened by the loss of my beloved Uncle Duane...He was a gentleman with a kind heart, and a genuine, happy smile for all who encountered him. Although it has been several years since I got the opportunity to see him and my aunt Sherrie, I can not express how fortunate I feel that my son Matthew had the pleasure of meeting him, and I was able to capture the moment with my phone. You will be sincerely missed by your beautiful wife, wonderful children and grandchildren, and many others who were lucky enough to call you their friend... with great sadness and all our love, may you now rest gently in the Lord's hands, surrounded by grace.

To the family of Duane Thurner. So sorry to hear about the passing of Duane. I have known Duane for many many years as I am a friend of Judy's. My thoughts and Prayers go out to you and your family . Rest in Peace, Duane.
Carol Westphal Beck.

The first time I met Duane I was 8 years old.....I was very excited the my big sister had a date coming to the house to pick her up.
Duane came in and had a buddy with him..... I was pretty happy seeing two really good looking guys.
In my nice quite library voice I asked Sherrie "which one is yours"...... As it was a blind date Sherrie had not a clue!!!! Sherrie turned beet red and all stared laughing!!! Great ice breaker, the kid saved the day!
I was so proud that my sister was dating a U.S. Marine, that I learned to play the Marines March on my accordion ( yes, you heard right accordion, what a dork ). Needless to say the next time I saw him.... It was like the President was entering, only it was the Marines March..... I played awful , but always the gentleman, he listened, and smiled . I felt like I was brilliant.
So with that being said...... Rest in peace Duane......... always kind and always loved.
Cathy
