E. Everette Durrant's Obituary
E. Everette Durrant, age 90, of Almond, WI passed away suddenly on Wednesday, October 28, 2015 at his son's residence. Everette was born in Waupaca on March 11, 1925, the son of the late Kirk and Hazel (Lyons) Durrant. On October 24, 1953 Everette married Ruth Pagel at the Almond United Methodist Church and she preceded him in death on February 26, 2015. He served in the US Army during the Korean War and worked for many years at American Motors. Everette loved hunting, gardening, watching the Brewers & Packers, fishing, playing cards and picking blackberries. He is a member of Almond United Methodist Church and Mead-Rath-Gukte Legion Post #339. Everette is survived by his son: Dale Durrant, Waupaca; his 3 grandsons: Joe Durrant, Waupaca; Jim Durrant, Waupaca and Eric (Brittanie) Durrant, Waupaca; his great grandchildren: Walker Everette Durrant; Kya, Trinity & Kylie Durrant and his brothers: William (Pauline) Durrant, Waupaca and Ken (Donna) Durrant, Waupaca. Everette was preceded in death by his parents, a son, Lea and two sisters, Charlotte & Lorraine. The Funeral Service will be on Monday, November 2 at 12 noon at the Almond United Methodist Church with Reverend Paul Gregersen, officiating. Military Graveside Services will follow in the East German Methodist Cemetery. Visitation will be on Sunday afternoon from 3 PM to 6 PM at the church and also on Monday morning from 11 AM until the time of services. Hardell-Holly Funeral Home in Almond is honored to serve the family.
