Earl A. Harris' Obituary
Mr. Earl Allen Harris, age 89, of Waupaca, WI, passed away peacefully on Monday, July 27, 2009 at his residence. Earl was born in Town of Dayton, Waupaca County, WI on June 18, 1920, the son of the late Alonzo and Helen (O'Neil) Harris. On June 21, 1941 Earl married Leona Sheveland in Parfreyville, and she preceded him in death on July 6, 1991. Earl was a feeder pig dealer, a painter, and the Schlitz beer distributor in this area for many years. For the past 25 years, Earl and his son Hap ran H & H Recycling in Waupaca. He loved fishing, playing cards, spending time with his family, and especially trap shooting. He was a WW II veteran. Earl is survived by his sons; Larry (Donna) Harris, Edgerton, WI; Dennis (Barbara) Harris, Appleton, WI; John (Hap) (Kristy) Harris, Waupaca, WI; seven grandchildren and three great grandchildren, sisters; Shelly Penney, Waupaca, WI, and Cookie Dimpfl, Oconomowoc, WI. Earl was preceded in death by his parents, his wife - Leona, a son, Terry, brothers; Claude, Roy, Walt, and Frank Harris, and sisters; Laneigha Ravey, Jeane Beyersdorf, and Delores (Lori) Mantz. A Memorial Service will be held on Wednesday, August 5, 2009 at 7:00 PM at the Holly Funeral Home in Waupaca with Mr. Dennis Sutliff, officiating. Military Graveside Services will be held at a later date in the Central Wisconsin Veterans Memorial Cemetery at King, WI. A memorial visitation will will be held on Wednesday evening from 4:00 - 7:00 PM. The Holly Funeral Home of Waupaca, WI is assisting the family with arrangements.
