EARL JAY SMITH
WILD ROSE, WI Age 90 – died on Thursday, November 8, 2007 at the Wild Rose Manor in Wild Rose, WI. He was born on August 5, 1917 on the family’s homestead in the Township of Rose, Waushara County, WI, a son of the late Earl J. and Clara (Nelson) Smith. He married Phyllis Nichols on January 1, 1942 in Parfreyville, WI. He preceded her in death on October 31, 1998.
Earl is survived by a niece: Nan (Ed) Corazalla of Faribault, MN. He is further survived by many nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends. He was preceded in death by his wife: Phyllis, his parents, a brother: Darrel Smith, and a nephew: Lowell Duane Smith. Earl had been a Dairy Farmer. He lived on, and farmed the family’s homestead in the Township of Rose from his birth until illness forced him to leave the farm. A memorial service will be held at the Holly Funeral Home in Wild Rose, WI on Sunday, November 18, 2007 at 11:00 AM, with the Reverend Robert Hanson, St. John’s Lutheran Church – Saxeville, WI, officiating. Interment will be in the Oak Hill Cemetery in Wild Rose. Friends may call at the Holly Funeral Home in Wild Rose on Sunday morning from 10:00 – 11:00 AM. The Holly Funeral Home of Wild Rose, WI is assisting the family with arrangements.
