Earl H. Reckers' Obituary
Earl H. Reckers - King, WI - age 95 - passed away on Monday, July 7, 2014 at the Wisconsin Veterans Home in King, WI. He was born on January 20, 1919 in Camp Point, IL, a son of the late Edward and Ora (Neaster) Reckers. He was married to Ruth (Drake) Reckers. She also preceded him in death.
Earl is survived by his son: Allan (Denise) Reckers of Abilene, TX, a grandchild, a brother: Russell Reckers of Golden, IL, and two sisters: Grace Taber of Golden, IL, and Reva Bounds of Arizona. He was also preceded in death by 3 brothers: Elmer, Roy, and Kenny Reckers, and a sister: Wilma Baker.
Earl had lived in the Onalaska, WI area for many years. He had been employed as a mechanic with a river dredging company. He had served his country in the U.S. Army Air Corps during WW II. He moved to the Wisconsin Veterans Home in King from Onalaska in February of 2003.
A Military Graveside Service will be held at a later date at the Central Wisconsin Veterans Memorial Cemetery in King, WI. The Holly Funeral Home of Waupaca, WI is assisting the family with arrangements.
