Edmund Stremkowski's Obituary
Edmund E. (Steady Eddie) Stremkowski, age 78, of Amherst, WI., passed away on Sunday, February 4th, 2007 at Portage County Health Care Center, Stevens Point. He was born in Stevens Point on February 11, 1928, a son of the late Zigmund and Clara (Maciejewski) Stremkowski. Edmund married Chesterine Patoka on June 24, 1950 at St. Mary of Mt. Carmel Catholic Church, Fancher. He was a Semi-truck Driver for H.O. Wolding Inc. for 28 years. Edmund was a member of St. Mary of Mt. Carmel Catholic Church and a member of the Holy Name Society there. He enjoyed his John Deere Tractor, his children, grandchildren, great grandchildren, friends and traveling. Survivors include his Wife: Chesterine Stremkowski, Amherst, WI; Children: Jane (Jerry) Karpinski, Amherst Jct., WI; Jerry (Judi) Stremkowski, Amherst Jct., WI; Jeffrey (Sue) Stremkowski, Stevens Point, WI; Steven (Valerie) Stremkowski, Amherst, WI; Grandchildren: Joel, Jamie and Jon Karpinski, Julie Michelkamp, Jenny Stuczynski, Jolene Soyka, Edmund, Scott, Brian, Brandon, Steven, Michael and Kayla Stremkowski; Great Grandchildren: Shelby Rose, Sawyer, Serena and Leila; and 2 great grandchildren on the way; Sisters: Bernice Stremkowski, Stevens Point, WI; Marie (Alfred) Konkol, Menomonee Falls, WI; Lorraine (Leroy) Lundgren, Stevens Point, WI; Gloria Kitowski, Stevens Point, WI; Dorothy Domask, West Bend, WI; Delores Domask, Milwaukee, WI; Brothers: Phillip (Rose) Stremkowski, Custer, WI; Daniel (Sue) Stremkowski, Custer, WI. He was preceded in death by his parents, 3 great grandchildren, 2 brothers and 2 sisters. Funeral Mass will be held at St. Mary of Mt. Carmel Catholic Church, Amherst at 11 AM on Thursday, February 8th, with Father Robert Pedretti officiating. Interment will be in the St. Mary of Mt. Carmel Catholic Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Wednesday from 4 - 8 PM at Jungers-Holly Funeral Home in Amherst, with a Rosary Service to be held at 7 PM. Visitation also on Thursday from 10 AM until the time of the service at the church. A memorial has been established in the name of Edmund E. Stremkowski.
