Edna Carey's Obituary
Edna R. Carey, age 97, of Waupaca, formerly of Amherst passed away on Wednesday, March 5, 2008 at Bethany Home in Waupaca. She was born on April 21, 1910 in Amherst, the daughter of Louis and Anna (Leirson) Louison. Edna married Russell P. Carey on December 10, 1938 in Oak Park, IL. He preceded her in death on June 15, 1995. Edna is survived by Sons: Wayne (Linda) Carey, Amherst; Richard (Melba) Carey, Amherst; Daughter-in-law: Carol (Robert) Lea, Amherst; Grandchildren: Reynold (Tina) Carey, LaFayette, TN; Randall (fiancé, Tracey) Carey, Amherst; Robert Carey, Loveland, CO; Robert (Shawn) Lea Jr., Amherst Jct.; Beth (Wayne) Borgen, Amherst; Brett Carey, Stevens Point; and Bonnie (Mike) Warzynski, Almond; Twenty Great Grandchildren. She is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, Russell; Son, Dale; Brother, Melvin and Four Sisters, Lillian Williamson, Laura Waller, Minerva Henke, and Claryce Henke. A funeral service will be held at 11 AM on Monday, March 10, 2008 at Peace Lutheran Church in Amherst with Reverend Gretchen Anderson officiating. Interment will be next to her husband in Greenwood Cemetery in Amherst. A visitation will be held on Monday at the church from 9 AM until the time of the service.
