Edna Henke's Obituary
Edna M. Henke, age 92, of Plover, formerly of Nelsonville, passed away on Monday, February 9th, 2009 at Whispering Pines in Plover. She was born on January 21, 1917, a daughter of the late Anton and Nellie (Johnson) Everson. She married Willard (Bill) Henke on October 12, 1933 in Evanston, IL. He preceded her in death on April 4, 2004. Edna was a member of Nelsonville Lutheran Church. Survivors include a Son: John (Marilyn) Henke, Stevens Point, WI; Grandchildren: John (Eileen) Henke, Austin, TX; Steven (Lisa) Henke, Amherst Jct., WI; Jill (Chris) Gamm, Bonduel, WI; Great Grandchildren: Sean, Shelia & Ian Henke; Teressa, John, Ashley & Miranda Henke; Amanda Gamm. She was preceded in death by her parents, and her husband, 5 brothers and 4 sisters. Funeral Services will be held at Nelsonville Lutheran Church, Nelsonville, at 10:30 AM on Thursday, February 12th, 2009, with Reverend Dwight Anderson officiating. Interment will be in the Nelsonville Lutheran Cemetery, Town New Hope, WI. Visitation will be held on Thursday from 9:30 AM until the time of service at the church.
