Mrs. Edna L. Pohl, age 98, of Waupaca, WI , passed away Thursday, April 27th, 2006 at Bethany Home. Mrs. Pohl was born in Almond, Wisconsin on March 19, 1908, she was the daughter of the late Henry and Anna (Henke) Lutz. On Feb 16, 1928 she married Harold A. Pohl in Almond. He preceded her in death on Jan 5, 2000. Survivors include Son: Allen (Lila) Pohl, Waupaca; Daughter: Lila Ann (Dale) Mathwich, Madison; Grandsons: Mark (Helene') Pohl, Ogdensburg; David (Mary) Pohl, Waupaca; Douglas (Stephanie) Pohl, Waupaca; Bruce (Mary Anne) Mathwich, Rockton, Illinois; Scott (Sue) Mathwich, Columbus; Dean (Luanne) Mathwich, Jefferson, WI; Great Grandchildren: Melissa & Sarah Pohl; Sam & Nora Pohl; Eric & Timothy Mathwich; Sisters in law: Florence Lutz, Amherst Jct; Helen Pohl, Almond; Sarah Pohl, Almond. Edna is further survived nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband of 71 years, Harold, and One Sister: Alta Thiele. The Funeral Service will be held at Immanuel Evangelical Lutheran Church, Waupaca, Wisconsin at 11 AM on Monday, May 1st, with Reverends Jeffrey Holtan & Aaron Winkelman officiating. Interment will be in the Greenwood Cemetery in Amherst, Wisconsin. Visitation will be held Monday 10 - 11 AM at Immanuel Evangelical Lutheran Church. A memorial has been established in her name at Bethany Home 1226 Berlin St Waupaca, WI. 54981. The family wishes to thank the nurses and all staff at Bethany Home for the excellent care and kindness shown to Edna.
