Edward W. Golding
Weyauwega, WI (Formerly of Waupaca, WI) Age 94 – died on Thursday, April 30, 2009 at Lakeview Manor in Weyauwega, WI. He was born on October 6, 1914 in Chicago, IL, the son of Edward and Kathryn (Willard) Golding. He married Mabel Pokrandt on November 29, 1952 in Oshkosh, WI. She preceded him in death on March 3, 2002. Edward is survived by a sister; Helen Fenzl of Oshkosh, a brother; George (Arlene) Golding of Waupaca, and nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife; Mabel, his parents, and sisters; Dorothy Porter and Priscilla Preusser. Edward had been employed as a mechanic for the former Godfrey Implement Co. in Waupaca. He had been a very active member of the Parfreyville United Methodist Church. He had served in the U.S. Army during WW II. Edward enjoyed growing flowers and gardening. A funeral service will be held at the Holly Funeral Home in Waupaca, WI on Saturday, May 9, 2009 at 4:00 PM, with the Reverend Joan Frost - Parfreyville United Methodist Church, officiating. Interment will be in the Parfreyville Cemetery, Township of Dayton, Waupaca County, WI. A visitation will be held on Saturday from 3:00 – 4:00 PM at the Holly Funeral Home in Waupaca. The Holly Funeral Home of Waupaca, WI is assisting the family with arrangements.
