EDWARD L. MUMM
KING, WISCONSIN Age 81 passed away on Wednesday, September 24, 2008 at the Wisconsin Veterans Home in King, WI. He was born October 11, 1926 in Fond du Lac, WI; son of Edward and Laura (Rosenbaum) Mumm. On July 1, 1950, Edward married Zella Gordon in Fond du Lac, WI. She preceded him in death on November 11, 2002. Edward managed the Gambles hardware store in Plainfield, WI most of his working career. An avid photographer, Ed saw the world through a camera lens with curiosity and a sense of humor. In his relentless quest to explore the overlooked and long forgotten corners of the community, Ed kindled friendships with and between anyone with whom he became acquainted. He enjoyed the companionship of members of the Waupaca Historical Society, Waupaca Public Library, and several local businesses. His love of classical music most recently culminated in work with the Community Choir and Civic Orchestra at two consecutive performances at the 2005 and 2006 Annual Fine Arts Festival. A member of Farmington Lutheran Church, Ed now joins his wife, Zella, in eternal life. A WWII Veteran, Edward Mumm served in the U.S. Army, 46 Engineer Construction, 8th Army Battalion, and spent time in the Asia Theater and Japan. Ed is survived by:

Granddaughters: Laura Pica, Megan Wolff, and Molly Wolff
Step-Grandson: Aric Springstroh
Sister: Dorothy (Thomas) Neinhaus of Neshkoro, WI He was preceded in death by his parents and his wife, Zella Mumm. A Funeral Service will be on Saturday, September 27, 2008 at 11:00 AM at the Farmington Lutheran Church in Waupaca, WI. Reverend John Hielsberg will officiate. A visitation will be on Saturday from 10:00 – 11:00 AM at the church. Burial will be at the Farmington Lutheran Cemetery in the Town of Farmington following the services on Saturday.
