Eileen J. Peck's Obituary
Eileen J. Peck, age 87, of Wild Rose, WI passed away on January 5, 2012,
at her home on Gilbert Lake with family at her side.
Eileen was born in Freeport, IL on January 31, 1924, the daughter of Arthur and Helen (Wieneke) Cremer.
She was a graduate of Aquin High School in Freeport, IL and Dominican University in River Forest, IL. She taught school in Illinois, Wisconsin and New Jersey.
Eileen married Lionel B. Peck on August 16, 1947 and celebrated 57 years of marriage. She was the loving mother of David (Angela) Peck of Berkeley, CA; Mary (Steve) Lauer of Atlanta, GA; Edward (JoAnne) Peck of Stevens Point, WI; and Carol Peck (Keith Kirchhoff) of Peoria, AZ; beloved grandmother of Bryan, Eric (Wes Ladomirak) and Matt(Leigh) Lauer; Will, Chris and Jon Peck; and Andrea and Leslie Kirchhoff; great-grandmother of Bennett Stephen Lauer.
Survivors also include brothers, sisters, nieces, nephews and other relatives.
Eileen had many interests, primarily centered around family and friends at her home on Gilbert Lake. She enjoyed music, travel, reading, bridge and volunteer work at the local hospital and library.
She was a life-long reader and an avid supporter of National Public Radio.
Private family services were held.
