Elaine M. Bastian's Obituary
Elaine M. Bastian, age 70, of Appleton, formerly of Waupaca, WI went home to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ at ManorCare Health Services in Appleton on Tuesday, September 8, 2015. She was born in Waupaca, on December 5, 1944, a daughter of the late Harley and Violet (Ballard) Bastian.
Elaine loved the Lord and was a big fan of the Green Bay Packers. She was an avid reader and collected stuffed animals. In her younger years she played baseball and sang in the Chaminade Chorus. The family wishes to express special thanks to cousins Pat Bousley and Nancy Schwemin along with friend Marlene Brosman, who were there for Elaine through her many years of long term disability.
Survivors include Brothers & Sisters: Stanley (Kathy) Bastian, Port Charlotte, FL; Audrey (Clair) Ewert, Rochester, MN; Linda (Kevin) Garrigan, Appleton, WI; Paul (Patti) Bastian, Green Bay, WI; Step-Mother: Gladys Bastian. She is further survived by 6 nieces, 3 nephews and many great nieces and great nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and both sets of grandparents
Funeral services will be held at the Holly Funeral Home in Waupaca at 1 PM on Friday, September 11th, with Reverend Nick Seipel, officiating. Burial will be held at Lakeside Memorial Park in Waupaca. Visitation will be held on Friday, from 12:30 PM until the time of the service at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, a memorial will be established in her name.
