Elaine P. "Batch" Kienbaum's Obituary
Elaine Pearl Kienbaum (fondly nicknamed Batch), age 80, of Waupaca, WI passed away on Monday, June 7th, 2021 peacefully at home. She was born in Blackwell, WI on June 4, 1941, daughter of the late Elroy and Amanda (Hornung) Kurtzweil.
She married her sweetheart Richard J. Kienbaum on May 1, 1965 in Marathon, WI, and moved to Waupaca, where she was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She was a devoted member of St. Mary Magdalene Catholic Church and an integral member of the Kienbaum Reporting Service. Batch loved embroidering towels for her family, playing poker and sudoku, spending quality time at the casinos with Richard and friends, planning annual family vacations and later visits to her children and grandchildren near and far. She will always be remembered for baking delicious cookies and sharing them with family and friends.
Survivors include her Husband: Richard Kienbaum, Waupaca, Wisconsin; Children: Mike (Cheryl) Kienbaum, Leesburg, VA; Mark (Christine) Kienbaum, Plover, WI; Sue (Erik) Woodson, Madisonville, LA; Grandchildren: Katie Kienbaum; Maddie Kienbaum (Wolf Trumbauer); Andrew Whisman; Lindsey Kienbaum (Logan Murphy); Hannah Kienbaum (Gary Flanery); Jack Kienbaum; Valerie Woodson (Aaron Hoppe); Jacob Woodson; Matthew Woodson; and 2 Sisters. She is further survived by other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, 3 sisters and 1 brother.
The Funeral Mass will be held at St. Mary Magdalene Catholic Church in Waupaca at 11:30 AM on Saturday, June 12th, 2021, with Father Xavier Santiago and Father Richard Lesniak, officiating. Interment will be at St. Mary Magdalene Catholic Cemetery in Waupaca. Visitation will be held on Saturday, from 9 AM until the time of the service at the church. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to St. Mary Magdalene Catholic Church.
