ELAINE HENRIETTA (SWENSON) MAVES
AMHERST, WISCONSIN Age 79, passed away on Wednesday, November 19, 2008 at St. Michael’s Hospital in Stevens Point, WI. She was born April 6, 1929 in the Town of Amherst, WI; daughter of Henry and Edna (Howen) Swenson. She graduated from Hi-Corners Grade School and Amherst High School in 1947. Elaine married Carl Maves on May 27, 1950 and lived on the Maves family farm in Amherst for the past 58 years. Elaine enjoyed spending time with her family and being involved in the Women’s Groups at Peace Lutheran Church in Amherst. Elaine is survived by:

Robbie Keenan of Appleton, WI Elaine was preceded in death by her parents, sister and brother-in-law, Helen and Tom Hildebrand, and her brother, Leland “Pork” Swenson. A Funeral Service will be on Monday, November 24, 2008 at 11:00 AM at the Peace Lutheran Church in Amherst, WI. Reverend Dwight Anderson will officiate. A visitation will be held on Monday from 9:00 – 11:00 AM at the church. Burial will be at Oak Grove Cemetery in the Town of Amherst following the service on Monday.
