Eleanore I. Galien's Obituary
Eleanore I. Galien, age 82, of Almond, Wisconsin , passed away Tuesday, June 9, 2009 at Crystal River Nursing & Rehabilitation Center in Waupaca where she was a resident. Eleanore was born in the Town of Amherst, Portage County, WI on April 9, 1927, the daughter of the late William and Dora (Rosin) Vogt. On October 16, 1948 Eleanore married Gerald Jean Galien. He preceded her in death July 30, 1995. Eleanore had been a bus driver at Almond-Bancroft School System during most of her working life. She is a member of St. John's Lutheran Church in Almond. Eleanore is survived by two sons: Michael Galien of Almond, WI; and Mark (Carla) Galien of O-Fallon, IL; her brother: William (Virginia) Vogt of Plover, WI and her sister: Dorothy O'Keefe of Almond, WI. A sister, Lillian, also preceded her in death. The Funeral Service will be held at St. John's Lutheran Church in Almond at 11 AM on Friday, June 12, 2009 with Vicar Brian Roehrborn officiating. Interment will be in the Almond Village Cemetery. Visitation will be held Thursday evening from 4 - 8 PM at St. John's Lutheran Church. Hardell-Holly Funeral Home in Almond assisted the family with arrangements. A memorial has been established in Eleanore's name.
