age 94 – died on Saturday, October 24, 2009 at Bethany Home in Waupaca. She was born on February 24, 1915 in the Township of Buena Vista, Portage County, WI, the daughter of Theodore and Augusta (Boelter) Yonke. She married Jacob G. Mehne on May 2, 1932 in Almond, WI. He preceded her in death on March 25, 1973.
Eleanore is survived by a son; Herb (Judy) Mehne of Menomonie, WI, daughter; Ann (Ron) Lillyroot of Cedarburg, WI, seven grandchildren, ten great grandchildren, brother-in-law; Robert and Rose Mehne of Oshkosh, and sisters-in-law; Nila Mael of Almond and Lorraine Yonke of Wausau. She is further survived by nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband; Jacob Mehne, her parents, brothers and sisters.
Eleanore was a member of the Immanuel Ev. Lutheran Church in Waupaca. She had been a homemaker and farmed with her husband.
A funeral service will be held at the Immanuel Ev. Lutheran Church in Waupaca on Thursday, October 29, 2009 at 11:00 AM, with Reverends Jeffrey Holtan and Aaron Winkleman, officiating. Interment will be in Lakeside Memorial Park Cemetery in Waupaca. A visitation will be held at the church on Thursday from 10:00 until 11:00 am. The Holly Funeral Home of Waupaca is assisting the family with arrangements.
