Elizabeth A. Chojnacki's Obituary
Elizabeth Ann Chojnacki, age 79, passed away at her home in Amherst Jct. on Monday, February 19, 2024. Elizabeth was born on February 21, 1944 to John and Clara (Berna) Kropidlowski in Iola, Wisconsin at the Homestead Farm. She was united in marriage on July 8, 1961 to Leonard Theodore Chojnacki. Together they shared many years of love and memories until his passing on February 25, 2014.
Anyone who knows Elizabeth, knew she loved her family, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. She loved crocheted blankets and afghans. She was a thrifty shopper and enjoyed knick-knacks, dolls, and anything crocheted. She also loved her gardens and took pride in raising vegetables to sell on the Farmer’s Market. She was a hard worker, she spent 37 years working at the Veteran’s Home in King/Waupaca as a C.N.A. She looked forward to family gatherings and was a very generous gift-giver. Her kitty, Anna Rose, was her great companion later in life and she treasured her.
Elizabeth is survived by her children; Carolyn (Mark) Lepak of Custer, WI; Julianne (Scot) Martin of Amherst Junction, WI; Valerie (Lenny) Herek of Custer, WI; Ralph (Sarah) Chojnacki of Stevens Point, WI; Lorin (Peggy) Chojnacki of Amherst, WI; her siblings Frank (Carol) Kropidlowski of Iola, WI; Gertrude Berna of LaPort, IN; Dorothy (Tom) Leider of Howards Grove, WI; a sister-in-law Dorothy Yach-Kropidlowski, her 15 grandchildren, her 29 great grandchildren, and many other loving nieces, nephews, and loving family and friends.
Elizabeth was preceded in death by her loving husband Leonard, her daughter Lorraine Chojnacki, her parents, her brother Daniel Kropidlowski, and a brother-in-law Rudy Berna.
A funeral mass for Elizabeth will be held at St. Mary of Mount Carmel – Fancher on Saturday, February 24, 2024 at 11:00 AM. Father Jerzy Rebacz will be presiding. A visitation will be held from 4:00 – 7:00 PM at the Jungers – Holly Funeral Home on Friday, February 23, 2024, and again on Saturday morning from 9:30 AM until the time of Mass at 11:00. A rosary service will be held after the visitation on Friday night at 7:00 PM at the funeral home. The Jungers-Holly Funeral Home of Amherst, WI is assisting the family with arrangements.
