Elizabeth L. Martin's Obituary
Elizabeth L. Martin age 101 passed away peacefully at Juliette Nursing Home in Berlin, WI on Thursday, February 20, 2020.
She was born on May 19, 1918, daughter of the late Adolph and Julia (Gitzel) Werch.
The Martin’s were lifelong residents in the Town of Leon, Waushara County, Wisconsin, where they owned and operated Martin’s Farm Market for many years.
Elizabeth was a faithful member of the Poy Sippi Methodist Church. She enjoyed the outdoors, her flower garden and loved the apple orchards and was known for her apple desserts.
Elizabeth is survived by her children, Robert (Sue) Martin of Berlin and Peggy (Jerry) Klimke of Wautoma; grandchildren, Rebecca (Jon) Hoffman, Robert (Erika) Martin, Carla (Daren) Plantz and Todd (Melissa) Klimke; great grandchildren, Grace, Jane and Ben Hoffman, Jack and Greta Martin, Tyler, Logan and Megan Plantz and Sophie and Bria Klimke; sister-in-law, Irene Werch, nieces, nephews and dear farm neighbors.
Memorial services will be Saturday, February 29, 2020 at 11:00 a.m. at Poy Sippi Methodist Church with pastor Becky. Visitation will be on Saturday morning from 9:30 a.m. until the time of service at the church. Burial will be in the spring at Poy Sippi Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to Poy Sippi Methodist Church.
