Ellen J. (Robbins) Christensen's Obituary
Ellen J. (Robbins) Christensen age 93, of Waupaca, passed away on January 5, 2010 at the Bethany Home in Waupaca. She was born on December 21, 1916 the daughter of Guy and Clara(Patterson) Robbins. She married Lawrence Christensen on April 1, 1938. She worked at Zwickers for 30 years. She enjoyed traveling, she traveled to all 50 states, Canada, Mexico, and Europe. She also enjoyed playing cards and scrabble.
Ellen is survived by her daughter Carol (Larry) Kamp of Waupaca, six grandchildren Debra Kamp-Schroeder (Dennis) of Clintonville, Bryan (Cindy) Kamp of New London, Dawn (Glen) Oberstadt of Larsen, John (Kim) Kamp of Black Creek, Mary Ellen (Bart) Peterson of Pine River, and Susan (Jeff) Eggers of Wild Rose, fifteen great grandchildren Karena, Joshua, and Makya Schroeder, Jolene and Melissa Kamp, Rachel and Elizabeth Oberstadt, Gage and Jak Kamp, Justin Gabrielson, Alicia (Nate)Watts, Andy and Alex Peterson, Lauren and Scott Annis, five great-great grandchildren Logan Gambsky, and Braeden Fielding, Brandon, Tyler, Kenny Watts.
She was preceded in death by her parents Guy and Clara Robbins, her husband Lawrence, one great grandchild Ty Schroeder, three brothers Lew, Kenneth, and Donald.
A funeral service will be held on Friday January 8, 2010 at the First United Methodist Church at 11 A.M. Reverend Cathy Weigand will officiate. A visitation will be held on Friday at the church from 9:30 until 11 A.M. Burial will take place at the Pleasant Valley Cemetery in the spring.
The family would like to thank Dr. Oetkin, Dr. Anderson and the wonderful and caring staff at the Bethany Home, no one could ask for better care.
