Elmer Deibert's Obituary
Elmer Louis August Deibert, age 97, of Green Lake, WI , passed away Saturday, June 28, 2014 at Riverside Medical Center, Waupaca, Wisconsin. Elmer was born in the Town of Brooklyn, Green Lake Co., WI on January 5, 1917, the son of the late Louis and Amelia (Heckert) Deibert.
Elmer served in the U.S. Army in World War II receiving the Purple Heart. For 15 years, Elmer was the Purchasing Agent at Green Lake County Courthouse. Elmer also worked at Fabrico at Green Lake as a sewing machine mechanic and at Fox River Glove in Ripon, WI. On June 5, 1966 he married Sharon LaDean (Hanson) Deibert. They latered divorced and then remarried on October 2, 1992. He was a lifetime member of Peace Lutheran Church in Green Lake.
He is survived by his wife: Sharon Deibert, Green Lake; his children: Tammy L. Krentz; James E. (Christine) Deibert; Russell A. Deibert; Michael J. (Rebecca) Deibert; step-daughter: Terry (Wayne) Robinson; grandchildren: Sally Koeune, Christy Robinson, Kristina Deibert, Kimberly and Noah Krentz, Russell A. Deibert Jr, Marissa, Dallas, Austin Deibert, Elijah, Micah and Ruby Deibert; great-grandchild: Vivian Koeune; sister: Adeline Markofski, Oshkosh, WI; and a sister-in-law: Joyce Deibert. He was preceded in death by two sisters: Lorraine (George) Huth, Evelyn Berres, his brother: Leonard and a grandson-in-law: Jesse.
Funeral Service with military rites will be at the Wisconsin Veterans Home-Olson Hall Chapel, King, Wisconsin. at 1:30 PM on Wednesday, July 2, 2014 with Chaplain Wayne Schwanke officiating. Burial will be in Dartford Cemetery Green Lake, Wisconsin. Visitation will be on Wednesday from 12:30 - 1:30 PM at Wisconsin Veterans Home-Olson Hall Chapel. Holly Funeral Home assisted the family with arrangements.
