Elroy E. Kirchoff
Waupaca, WI (formerly of Milwaukee, WI) Age 86 – died on Saturday, December 31, 2011 at Riverside Medical Center in Waupaca, WI. He was born on May 20, 1925 in Milwaukee, WI, the son of Earl and Irene (Hampton) Kirchoff. He married Edith Gudopp on May 5, 1951 in Milwaukee.
Elroy is survived by his wife, Edith, children; Gary (Ruth) Kirchoff of Mulberry, FL, Dan (Judy) Kirchoff of LaCrosse, Ingrid (Lyn) Gunther of Glendale, Gordon Kirchoff of Menomonee Falls, Charlotte (Rodney) Evans of Milwaukee, Chris (James) Gaines of Milwaukee, and Kevin Kirchoff of Mount Pleasant. He is also survived by seventeen grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by two grandchildren and his parents.
Elroy had been employed with the A.O. Smith Company in Milwaukee for 35 years. He served his country in the U.S. Army during WW II. He was a member of the First Assembly of God Church in Waupaca.
A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, January 4, 2012 at 1:00 PM at the First Assembly of God Church in Waupaca, WI, with Reverend Bob Bohn, officiating. Military honors followed by interment will be in the Spencer Lake Memorial Park Cemetery, Township of Lind, Waupaca County, WI. A visitation will be held at the church on Wednesday from 11:30 AM until 1:30 PM. The Holly Funeral Home of Waupaca, WI is assisting the family with arrangements.
