Elsbeth R. Werch's Obituary
Elsbeth R. Werch, age 95, of Waupaca passed away peacefully on Thursday, September 12, 2013 at Bethany Home. Elsbeth was born in Berlin, WI on October 28, 1917, the daughter of the late Daniel and Mary (Pagel) Werch. For many years she owned & operated the Tastee Freeze Drive Inn and later along with her daughter and son-in-law owned & operated the Merrimac Restaurant. She is a member of Victory Church in Waupaca. Elsbeth is survived by her daughter: Merry (Scott Mattes) McDaniel, Waupaca; her grandchildren: Erin (Charlie) Mitchell, Fort Myers, FL; David McDaniel, DePere, WI; Katie McDaniel, Waupaca; her great grandchildren: Trip and Kai Mitchell and her sister: Dorothy Duncan, Riverview, FL. She was also preceded in death by two brothers, Melvin and Howard Werch and her son-in-law, Mike McDaniel. The Funeral Service will be on Thursday, September 19 at 11 AM at Victory Church in Waupaca with Reverend Philip Thompson, officiating. Burial will be in the Nepeuskun Cemetery, Winnebago County. Visitation will be on Thursday morning from 9 to 11 AM at Victory Church. In lieu of flowers, memorials appreciated to the family. Holly Funeral Home assisted the family with arrangements.
