Emily H. Laskowski's Obituary
Emily H. Laskowski, aged 96, of Amherst, WI, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on December 13, 2023. She was born on September 2, 1927 to Stanley and Rose Ramczyk.
Emily, alongside her beloved husband Herman, managed and operated the successful Meadowlane Dairy in Plover, WI. Their dedication and hard work were evident in the thriving dairy farm where they milked brown Swiss, raised chickens, geese, black Angus beef cattle, and hogs.
Beyond the demands of the farm, Emily found joy in nurturing her beautiful garden, particularly her favorite gladiolas, and she had a remarkable talent for growing African Violets. Her green thumb and love for nature extended to her volunteer work at the Lincoln Center, where she generously shared her time and talents with the community.
A faithful parishioner at St. James Catholic Church, Emily was an active member of the Women's Group, dedicating her time to volunteer work at the church. Her commitment to her faith and community was unwavering, and she touched the lives of many through her selfless service.
In her moments of leisure, Emily found solace in her hobbies. She enjoyed crocheting and baking, showcasing her creativity and warmth through handmade creations that will be cherished by those who were fortunate enough to receive them.
Emily's legacy of generosity, kindness, and devotion to family and community will forever be remembered. She leaves behind a rich tapestry of memories that will continue to inspire and uplift those who were blessed to know her.
Emily is survived by her children, Margaret King, David Laskowski, Michael (Mary) Laskowski, Jim (Marylin) Hutkowski, LeRoy (Paula) Hutkowski, Steve (Billie) Hutkowski, her siblings, Ray Ramczyk, Stanley Ramczyk, Donald Ramczyk, Francis “Fuzzy” Ramczyk, Alice Samplaski, and Florence Whipple. She is further survived by 40 grandchildren, and many other nieces, nephews, and relatives.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, Joe Hutkowski, her late husband, Herman Laskowski, her son, Francis Hutkowski, her siblings, Harry Ramczyk, Ed Ramczyk, Frank Ramczyk, Loraine Hutkowski, Bernice Samplaski, and an infant sister, Rose.
A Funeral Mass to celebrate Emily's life will be held at St. James Catholic Church on Wednesday, December 20, 2023, at 11 AM, with Father Jerzy Rebacz presiding. A visitation will take place on Tuesday night from 4-8 PM at the Jungers-Holly Funeral Home in Amherst, WI. A rosary service will be held on Tuesday night at 7:30 PM at the funeral home.
The family would like to thank the ICU staff at Aspirus St. Point for the unconditional love and care during Emily’s final days. The Jungers-Holly Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
