Eric A. Kahler's Obituary
It is with great sorrow that we announce the passing of Eric Kahler on December 23, 2025. Eric, age 58, resided in Waupaca and was formerly of Oshkosh, Wisconsin.
Eric was an avid outdoorsman. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, taking long walks, and spending time with family and friends. He always looked forward to his bi-yearly fish camp with his fun-loving buddies. Eric also enjoyed pranking his friends, family, and co-workers. He had a mischievous personality, was very fun-loving, had a big smile, a wonderful witty sense of humor, a contagious laugh, and a great work ethic-which he stated was instilled in him by his father.
Eric was preceded in death by his parents, Winona and Howard Kahler; his eldest sister, Vicki Goeres; and Joan and Ward Fox. Eric is survived by Chris Van Dellen; his daughter, Haley (Isaiah) Kahler; his son, Alex Kahler; his siblings, sister Penny (Jim) Woodland and brothers Jeff (Lora-Lynn) Kahler and Nate (Karin) Kahler; and his brother-in-law, Don. Eric is also survived by many nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, as well as many cousins and good friends. He is further survived by extended family, including Cathy Kaniszewski; Leon (FeFe) Kaniszewski and their children; Jesse (Brian) Armstrong and their children; John (Rad) Fox; Daniel Fox, and Samuel (Hailey Griffin) Fox.
A special thanks to Eric's "sister wives," Miranda Johnson, Katie Freeman, and Tina Neelis, who were always there to support him at work and at home.
There will be a celebration of Eric's life in the summer of 2026; date yet to be determined.
