Ethel N. Werner's Obituary
Ethel N. Werner, age 88, of Poy Sippi, WI, passed away Wednesday, December 17, 2008 at Juliette Manor in Berlin, where she was a resident. She was born on the family homestead in the Town of Poy Sippi, WI on February 28, 1920, the daughter of the late William A. and Clara A. (Buchholtz) Werner. Ethel spent her entire life on her beloved farm. In earlier years she helped with farm work. Until recently, she always had a garden and loved sharing produce with family and friends. Ethel also loved to bake and many fondly remember her superb dinner rolls and cookies. Important to Ethel throughout her life were her church, her family, her friends and her numerous cats. She was a life long member of Emmaus Ev. Lutheran Church Poy Sippi, WI. She is survived by her sister: Dorothy B. Bathke, Fond du Lac, WI; a niece: Donna M. (Steven E.) Klabunde, Fond du Lac, WI; a nephew: Dr. Dennis M. (Rebecca) Bathke, Peoria, IL; grand nephews: Steven M. (Barbara) Klabunde (and their children Erika, Steve A. and William), Waterloo, IA; Michael C. Klabunde, Chicago, IL; John D. Bathke, Chicago, IL; and grand niece: Lynn E. Bathke, Winchester, England. Ethel was preceded in death by her parents, her brother, Lawrence F. Werner, and a brother-in-law, Milton E. Bathke. The Lord Jesus Christ is her Shepherd. The Funeral Service will be held at Emmaus Ev. Lutheran Church, Poy Sippi, WI at 11 AM on Monday, December 22 with Reverend Mark Meier officiating. Interment will be in the Poy Sippi Cemetery, Town of Poy Sippi, WI. Visitation will take place at the church on Monday from
