EUGENE R. DUESING
KING, WISCONSIN
FORMERLY OF RHINELANDER AND CLEVELAND, WISCONSIN Age 84, passed away on Thursday, July 21, 2011 at Riverside Medical Center in Waupaca, WI. He was born January 30, 1927 in Cleveland, WI; son of John E. and Reihna (Freis) Duesing. Eugene graduated from Central High School in 1944 and then entered the U.S. Army in 1945 and was honorably discharged after serving two years. He lived back in Cleveland, WI for a brief time until moving to Rhinelander, WI where he has lived for the past 43 years. Eugene just recently moved to the Wisconsin Veterans Home in King, WI where he was a resident. He was a very active outdoorsman in which he enjoyed hunting, fishing, baseball, and football. Eugene enjoyed many trips to the western part of the country. He was a lifetime member of the VFW in Cleveland and a member of the Lion’s Club of Rhinelander. Eugene is survived by:

Two Sisters: Eileen (Robert) Van Stelle of Sheboygan Falls, WI
Delores Gilbert of Manitowoc, WI
Also survived by many nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Reihna Duesing; two sisters, Geraldine Jackomino and Bernice Standfield; a sister-in-law, Alice Duesing; and a brother-in-law, Raymond Gilbert. A Funeral Service will be on Monday, July 25, 2011 at 11:30 AM at the Main Chapel at the Wisconsin Veterans Home in King, WI. Chaplain Wayne Schwanke will officiate. A visitation will be held from 10:30 – 11:30 AM at the chapel on Monday. Burial will be on Tuesday, July 26, 2011 at 11:00 AM at St. Johannes Cemetery in Cleveland, WI.
