Eugene Iwanski's Obituary
Mr. Eugene Iwanski, age 81, of King, WI., passed away on Monday, July 14th, 2008 at Wisconsin Veterans Home-Ainsworth Hall. He was born in Amherst, on July 3, 1927, a son of the late Frank and Mary (Trzbiatowski) Iwanski. Eugene's hobbies included golfing, bowling, and watching the Brewers, Braves and Packers. He also enjoyed taking rides by himself in his vehicle. He served in the U.S. Army in the Korean War and was discharged Honorably as a Corporal. He received the Korean Service Medal with 2 bronze stars and the U.N. Service Medal, Occupation Medal for Japan Survivors include: 3 Sisters: Margaret Reddy, Pewaukee, WI; Rita (Al) Gostomski, Stevens Point, WI; Lucille (Robert) Koback, Stevens Point, WI; 4 Brothers: Patrick (Eleanore) Iwanski, Plover, Wisconsin; Alois Iwanski, Stevens Point, Wisconsin; Frank (Lois) Iwanski, Stevens Point, Wisconsin; Maynard (Betty) Iwanski, Wisconsin Rapids, WI. He is further survived by numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents and three brothers - Richard, Norbert, and William. Funeral Mass will be held at Wisconsin Veterans Home-Main Chapel, King, at 10:30 AM on Thursday, July 17th, with Father Paul Vanden Hogen officiating. Interment will be in the Central WI Veterans Memorial Cemetery, King. Visitation will be held on Thursday, from 8:30 AM until the time of service at Wisconsin Veterans Home-Main Chapel.
