Eugene Konow's Obituary
Eugene F. Konow, age 72, of Iola, WI., formerly of Chicago, IL., passed away on Wednesday, June 28th, 2006 at Appleton Medical Center in Appleton, WI. He was born in Chicago, IL., on September 16, 1933, a son of the late William and Frances (Boruta) Konow. He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. Eugene married Mary Ann Brzostowski on April 30, 1960 in Chicago. He was a member of St. Mary Magdalene Catholic Community in Waupaca. Survivors include his Wife: Mary Ann Konow, Iola, WI; Children: Suzanne Konow, Phoenix, AZ; Steven (Karen) Konow, Chicago, IL; Renee (Brad) Larson, Seymour, WI; 8 Grandchildren: Timothy, Joshua & Stefanie Clancy; Zachary, Billy, Angela & Jesse Larson and Stacia Konow; 1Great Grandson: Ethan Clancy; 1 sister and 3 brothers. Eugene is further survived by numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents and 10 brothers and sisters. A Memorial Mass will be held at St. Mary Magdalene Catholic Community in Waupaca, WI., at 10:30 AM on Monday, July 3rd, with Reverend Jim Vennix officiating. Memorial Visitation will be held on Monday from 10:00 AM until the time of the service at the church. There will also be a Memorial Mass on Saturday, July 8th at 11:00 AM at St. Barbara's Catholic Church at 2859 Throop St., Chicago, IL. Visitation will be held on Saturday, from 10 AM until the time of the service at the church. The Holly Funeral Home of Waupaca is assisting the family with arrangements.
