Eunice G. Attoe
Wautoma, WI Age 90 – passed away Monday, May 28, 2012 at Silver Lake Manor in Wautoma, WI. She was born on August 14, 1921 in Green Lake, WI, the daughter of William and Alvina (Bethke) Bandt. She married Alfred T. Attoe on August 14, 1945 in Wautoma. He preceded her in death on August 30, 2003. Eunice is survived by her sons: Russell Attoe of Madison, Kenneth (Marian) Attoe of Merrill, Ernest Attoe of Lombard, IL, and Lowell (Patricia) Attoe of Oconomowoc, grandchildren: Daniel (Azure) Attoe of Portland, OR, Colin (Michelle) Attoe of Jacksonville, FL, Gavin (Jessica) Attoe of LaCrosse, and Jennifer (Timothy) Knowles of Omaha, NE, and three great grandchildren: Violet, Mina, and Vincent. She is also survived by sisters: Mildred (Leon) Klein of Wautoma, and Naomi Steger of Oakland, Ca, nieces and nephews. She was also preceded in death by her twin sisters: Viola Muehlius and Verona Muehlius. Eunice had attended the Locust Lodge School in Marquette County, WI and graduated from Neshkoro High School. She then attended the Waushara County Normal School in Wautoma and became a school teacher. Prior to her marriage she taught at the Burroughs School in the Twp. of Ashford, Fond du Lac Co, and then for about three years for the Germania Public Schools. After her marriage she worked the family farm with Alfred and was a homemaker. She was an active member of the Wild Rose United Methodist Church and had been a Sunday school teacher and a Bible School teacher. She enjoyed gardening and canning what she had grown. She also enjoyed baking, cooking, and bird watching. A funeral service will be held at the Wild Rose United Methodist Church in Wild Rose, WI on Saturday, June 2, 2012 at 1:00 PM, with the Reverend Yul Kwon, officiating. Interment will be in the Wild Rose Union Cemetery, Twp. of Wautoma, Waushara County, WI. A visitation will be held at the church on Saturday from 11:30 AM until the time of the service. A memorial has been established for the Wild Rose United Methodist Church in the name of Eunice G. Attoe. The family would also encourage those attending to bring flowers they have grown in their gardens. The Holly Funeral Home of Wild Rose, WI is assisting the family with arrangements.
