Evelyn M. Bodenheimer
Waupaca, WI
age 92 – died on Wednesday, July 14, 2010 at Crystal House in Waupaca. She was born on March 19, 1918 in Waupaca, the daughter of Charles and Grace (Voysey) Stinemates. She married Herbert Bodenheimer on July 3, 1941 in Waupaca. He preceded her in death on April 4, 1983.
Evelyn is survived by two sons; William (Judy) Bodenheimer of Stevens Point, and Phillip (Karen) Bodenheimer of Waupaca, a daughter; Nancy (Kevin) Schroeder of Waupaca, a daughter-in-law; Sandra Bodenheimer of Waupaca, ten grandchildren, ten great grandchildren, and a brother; Phillip Stinemates of Waupaca. She is further survived by nieces and nephews. Evelyn was preceded in death by her husband, Herbert, her son, Tom Bodenheimer, Sr, and her parents.
Evelyn was a graduate of the Mercy School of Nursing in Oshkosh. She had been employed as a registered nurse at the Wisconsin Veterans Home in King, WI for 28 years, retiring in 1983 as the supervisor of nursing for Stordock Hall. She had been a member of the Riverside Medical Center Hospital Auxiliary in Waupaca. She had also sung for a number of years of years with the Sweet Adelines of Waupaca. She had a number of interests including knitting, sewing, embroidery work, and gardening. She especially loved the time she could spend with her children and grandchildren.
A funeral service will be held at the Holly Funeral Home in Waupaca, WI on Saturday, July 17, 2010 at 11:00 AM, with the Rev. Andrew Behrendt – Trinity Lutheran Church, officiating. Interment will be in the Lakeside Memorial Park in Waupaca. A visitation will be held at the Holly Funeral Home in Waupaca on Saturday morning from 10:00 – 11:00 AM. A memorial has been established in the name of Evelyn M. Bodenheimer. The Holly Funeral Home of Waupaca, WI is assisting the family with arrangements. The family of Evelyn extends a heartfelt Thank You to the staff of Crystal House of Waupaca and to Riverside Medical Center for the loving care given to Evelyn.
