Evelyn F. Konkol's Obituary
Evelyn F. Konkol, age 94, of Amherst, WI passed away on Monday, January 16, 2012 at Stevens Point Care Center. Evelyn was born in the Town of Amherst, Portage County on March 9, 1917, the daughter of the late Theodore and Katherine (Glodowski) Kubisiak. On October 19, 1940, Evelyn married Chester Konkol at St. Mary of Mt. Carmel Catholic Church and he preceded her in death on August 10, 2007. Evelyn is a member of St. Mary of Mt. Carmel Catholic Church and a member of the Altar Rosary Society. She loved to cook and bake and was a friend to all. She had retired from Del Monte Co. Evelyn is survived by her brothers: James Kubisiak, Amherst; Lawrence (Dorothy) Kubisiak, Milwaukee and Albert Kubisiak, Stevens Point; her sisters: Ann (Kenneth) Dachyk, Stevens Point and Marie Timmers, Oak Creek and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Chester, a brother Victor Kubisiak and five sisters, Loretta Kosinski, Caroline Augustine, Katherine Konkol, Stella Cieslewicz and Genevieve Trezebiatowski. The Funeral Mass will be on Thursday, January 19 at 11 AM at St. Mary of Mt. Carmel Catholic Church with Father Robert Pedretti. Burial will follow in the parish cemetery. Visitation will be on Wednesday evening from 4 to 8 PM at the Jungers-Holly Funeral Home in Amherst with a Rosary at 7:30 PM. Visitation will continue on Thursday morning from 10 AM until the time of mass at the church. Memorials appreciated to the church in Evelyn's name. Jungers-Holly Funeral Home in Amherst is assisting the family with arrangements.
