Evelyn Gayton's Obituary
Evelyn C. Gayton, age 84, of Wild Rose, passed away on Tuesday, July 18th, 2006 at Theda Clark Regional Medical Center in Neenah, WI. She was born in Wabasha, MN on August 12, 1921, a daughter of the late Steve and Elizabeth (Chehval) Wermes. She married James B. Gayton on December 8, 1945 in Crystal Lake, WI. He preceded her in death on November 28, 1975. Evelyn worked at Silvercryst Supper Club in Wautoma from 1980 until 1994. She enjoyed crocheting, gardening, cooking, baking, playing her mandolin and country living.. Survivors include 3 Children: Kathryn Gayton, Wild Rose, WI; James Gayton, Wild Rose, WI; Warren (Robin) Gayton, Sheboygan, WI; 2 Grandchildren: Heather Gayton, Sheboygan, WI; Warren Gayton Jr., Milwaukee, WI; a Niece: Mary Jean Taay, Wild Rose, WI. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband - James, brother - Frank Wermes and a sister - Mary Taay. Memorial Services will be held at the Holly Funeral Home in Wild Rose at 1:00 PM on Saturday, July 22nd, with Reverend Paul Vanden Hogen officiating. Memorial Visitation will be held on Saturday, from 12:00 (noon) until the time of the service at the funeral home.
